The truth has a price. High, high. But Saviano decided to pay every cent. Regardless of what that entails exposing oneself in front of thousands of people telling the truth. But not his. Saviano tells the truth point. What is there for everybody, but nobody sees it, the one that everyone knows but no one knows.
I happened to see him on television last week. Not a moment's hesitation, not a moment of insecurity. Saviano tells of the slaughter that is taking place in a place very dear to him: his land. But what one must believe person in the place to be like him? Time, but so much. I feel really small in comparison to him.
But what disgusts me most is the opinion expressed by the same person who defends in his book Gomorra. Not all, mind you, but still a good number.
Saviano has made money with that book ... There always has been ... There is not only the mafia ... So recite some boys from a school in Casal di Principe. Saviano as if the money was earned them dishonestly, or as if he could now enjoy the fruits of his work as a reporter. For the uninitiated Saviano, for reasons easy to understand, he is forced to live, moving from one station to another without having to more contact with his family. As if it was under house arrest. This has paid the price for its consistency.
I am with him. No one touches Roberto Saviano.
